About Ignacio Martínez

Ignacio Martínez graduated from Economics and Management Degree and took MBA class from the IE Business School in Madrid. He also has a Masters Degree in Societal Information and Knowledge.

During his professional career, he has worked in different positions of high responsibility, in both the private and public sphere. In recent years he has focused on leading technological projects, where he has worked alongside Google and others companies.

In 2013, he was named Director of Strategic Projects at LaLiga. In October of 2015 he was appointed as the Director of Innovation and Global Development – in this role, he oversees the Department of Digital Strategy, Technological Development, Multichannel Development, Strategic Projects, Intellectual Property, Antipiracy, LaLiga Lab and International Projection of Brand.

His primary motivation is to instill innovation throughout LaLiga, from the changing room to the global fan base.
